As a high school kid in 1996, Jay 2The SUN purchased his first set of Technics 1210 turntables and a mixer, and started to learn how to mix and scratch. He began mobile DJing for house parties, weddings and private events all over Sonoma County. Once Jay 2The SUN turned 21, his focus switched to DJing at various nightclubs around the San Francisco Bay Area while mobile DJing on the side. You could also catch Jay 2The SUN on the airwaves mixing for both Hot and Jammin radio stations. Now with over 20+ years in the mix, mobile DJing has taken majority of his gigs with a few nightclub gigs here and there. Starting as a Hip Hop, R&B, and Reggae Dancehall DJ, Jay 2The SUN’s style has evolved into an open format DJ spinning all your favorite party jams. He also likes to mix House, Drum and Bass, and other genres of EDM.
As Jay 2The SUN likes to say, music is for his soul.
